Welcome to Illusions Dance Factory, based in Smithton, Tasmania. Please take the tour and see what we can offer you. Circular head is small but has enthusiastic, energetic children and adults ready to take on a challenge. That is why Illusions is expanding all the time with around 150 students currently enjoying tuition from our professional team.
At present we have almost outgrown our current premises at 38 Smith Street and are looking to move to a bigger complex shortly. Our styles are choreographed by experienced teachers from different backgrounds in the industry. Some routines have been used through generations of studio owners and are still going strong, while others have come from Melbourne and further.
We have a relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on building confidence in our one hour classes. It is a great feeling to know we are contributing to the community with the awesome service we offer. We can create the dancer in you!

Illusions competed in the Burnie Eistedfod
We came 1st in our under 14 group (teacher was Alannah Lucas), 1st in a duo by Shirleah Blizzard & Mia Close (choreographed by themselves), 2nd in our Open group (teacher was Leah House), 2nd in our under 10 group (teachers Shirleah Blizzard & Mia Close), 2nd in our under 8 group (teacher was Sue Thrower) and a highly commended was awarded to Alice Tapson & Jordan Dillon for their under 15 duo (teacher Melissa Gillie) All students did a great job and should be very proud.
